Privacy policy
This site is run by Rachel Klepadlo. It is a one-page portfolio with a contact form. There is no advertising here, no analytics, and no tracking pixels. This policy explains the little data the site does handle.
What I collect
What you send me. If you use the contact form, I receive your name, your email address, the topic you choose and the message you write. That's the whole form — nothing is collected from you otherwise.
Ordinary server records. Like any website, the hosting and security layers keep technical logs — IP address, browser type, time of request — to serve pages and block abuse. I don't use those logs to build a profile of you.
I don't ask for, and please don't send, sensitive personal information: government identifiers, financial details, health information, or personal data about your employees or colleagues.
How it's used
I use what you send to read your message and reply to it. That's it. I don't sell it, rent it, trade it, or add you to a mailing list — there isn't one.
Where it goes
A form submission is stored in this website's database and also emailed to me, so a message isn't lost if one of the two fails. The email is delivered through a transactional email provider, which handles it in order to send it.
The site runs behind a content delivery and security network, which processes requests — including IP addresses — to serve the site and filter malicious traffic. The site is hosted on managed WordPress infrastructure.
These providers process data on my behalf to keep the site working. Nobody buys this data from me and I don't share it for marketing.
Cookies and embedded content
The site itself doesn't set advertising or analytics cookies, and the fonts are hosted here rather than loaded from a third party.
One page element is embedded from elsewhere: a YouTube video. If you play it, YouTube may set its own cookies and collect data about that view under Google's privacy policy, which I don't control. If you'd rather it didn't, don't press play. Links to LinkedIn and other sites take you to services with their own policies.
How long it's kept
I keep contact messages while a conversation is live and for a reasonable period afterwards, in case it picks back up. If you'd like yours deleted sooner, just ask and I'll remove it from both the site database and my inbox.
Your choices
You can ask me what I hold about you, ask for a copy, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. Email me and I'll handle it — there's no form to fill out. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or the CCPA; I'll honour those requests regardless of where you are.
Children
This site is meant for adults making professional contact. It isn't directed at children, and I don't knowingly collect their information.
Security
The site is served over an encrypted connection and sits behind spam and intrusion filtering. No website can promise perfect security, so please use your judgement about what you put in a message.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top will change with it.
